Important information for those registering for the SPR 2012 Annual Meeting
What Is Included In The Conference Registration Fee?
- Access to all pre-conference workshops on Wednesday
- Attendance at the Welcome Ceremony, Presidential Address and dinner Reception on Wednesday evening
- A copy of the printed Program and access to the online Book of Abstracts that will be available to download on the SPR Virginia Beach website, at no charge
- Access to all conference sessions with coffee and tea during morning and afternoon breaks
- Breakfasts and lunches on Thursday, Friday and Saturday
- Attendance at the Conference Banquet on Saturday evening
Optional Fees
- Non-participant Guest. This registration status is designed for persons who will not be attending the presentations but who want to attend any or all social events (Welcome Ceremony and dinner reception; breakfasts and lunches Thursday, Friday and Saturday; coffee breaks; Conference Banquet, etc.) included in the registration.
$235 (early bird – by April 15th, 2012), $260 (regular – after April 15th, 2012) and $325 (onsite). Banquet ticket only: $65
- Book of Abstracts (print version): $35
- CE credits: $55 per person for all obtainable CEs during the conference.
Registration Information
- Payment must be made in full at the time of registration
- Payment must be in U.S. dollars using a credit card, bank credit transfer or bank check in U.S. dollar currency
- Early bird registration offers the opportunity to register at a substantial discount. It expires after April 15, 2012.
- Registration is for the entire conference. No single or multiple day registration fees are available.
- The registration system is set up to permit registration of one person and up to five non-participating guests at the same time. If you wish to register for yourself and a non-participant guest, please use the optional fields at the end of the registration form.
Payment Methods
All attendees must register using the same form, regardless of their payment method. At the end of the online registration form, you will have the option of two payment methods:
Credit card
Credit card payment is the preferred method because it minimizes registration delays and costs. We accept VISA, MasterCard, Discover Card and American Express. Payment will be processed online at the time of registration using a secure payment service. After your payment has been processed, you will have the opportunity to print a receipt confirming your transaction.
Bank check in U.S. dollar currency
To pay with a bank check, print the completed registration form and mail it with your full payment in U.S. dollars to the address below. (We regret that we are unable to accept payment in any currency other than U.S. dollars.)

Accommodations
The conference hotel is the DoubleTree by Hilton, located adjacent to the Convention Center. The DoubleTree Hotel is a 10-minute walk from the beach and runs a complimentary shuttle to the beach as well. The hotel features an indoor pool, free parking, and a restaurant with indoor/outdoor seating. Although late June is prime season at the beach, SPR has reserved a block of rooms at the DoubleTree at prices that will be difficult to beat anywhere in the area. Room rates are US $149. + tax for 1 to 4 persons. The DoubleTree is also offering a reduced rate of $5 per day if you want internet access in your room.
SPR will receive a discount on Convention Center room rentals based on the number of rooms we reserve at the DoubleTree Hotel. Participants are strongly encouraged to reserve rooms early as the number of rooms available at our reduced price is limited. The reduced price will be available only until May 15th.

Cancellation Policy
- Cancellation terms are as follows:
a. Cancellation by April 30, 2012: full refund less a $50 processing fee
b. No refund after April 30, 2012
- Registrants who are unable to attend may substitute a colleague by writing to the SPR Executive Officer and requesting the registration of the substitute. It is essential that substitutes formally register.
- Exceptions to this cancellation may be submitted to the SPR Executive Committee through SPR’s president.
Important Notes
SPR reserves the right to amend the conference program, timetable, facilities in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and other items relating directly or indirectly to this event, arising from circumstances beyond its control. Registrants shall not be entitled to any compensation for damages that might arise from such amendments or cancellation.
Book of Abstracts
Abstracts of all presentations will be available online at the SPR website and may be downloaded free of charge. Registrants who wish to receive a printed book of abstracts may order one in advance at the time of registration. There is a $35 fee for each copy, and the fee must be paid at the time of registration.
Conference Banquet
This year the conference banquet is included in the conference registration fee. The banquet will be held at the Virginia Beach Conference Center on Saturday evening, June 23, 2012.
