The NASPR Nominations Committee (comprised of Michael Constantino, John Ogrodniczuk, and Laurie Heatherington) is now accepting nominations for the next President-Elect of NASPR. President-Elect is an extremely important and rewarding leadership position in our organization. This elected official will serve for two calendar years starting at the business meeting of the 2015 SPR Convention. After this term, the elected official will serve as NASPR President for two calendar years, and then assume the office of Immediate Past-President for two calendar years. Thus, there is a six-year commitment (2015-2021) to Chapter leadership.
During his or her term, the Chapter President-Elect (1) serves as a member of the Chapter Steering Committee; (2) chairs the Chapter Meeting Program Committee; and (3) assumes other duties assigned by the President.
To be eligible, the candidate must be a Chapter member in good standing who has not served in a NASPR office for at least three years. The candidate should have achieved visibility in the field of psychotherapy research, and show clear promise to lead the organization and serve its interests. The slate will consist of no fewer than two and no more than four candidates depending on the nominations received.
Taking these parameters into account, please consider nominating yourself or someone else in the organization. To do so, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. In the body of the email, please include the following:
(1) Name and affiliation of the nominee
(2) A brief statement (400 words or less) as to why this person is a strong candidate for the position of Chapter President-Elect
