As a way to bridge the gap between NASPR chapter meetings, NASPR will continue to sponsor three, 1-day science-to-practice workshops.  These are expected to occur in the fall of 2017.  The idea is for these training/consultation/mentoring-themed workshops to be 1-day, low cost, limited planning events with some financial support provided by NASPR. The NASPR Steering Committee has agreed to commit $1,000/workshop toward the hosting of these events.

If you are interested in submitting a proposal, please submit the materials below to john.ogrodniczuk@ubc.ca by December 9, 2016.

Materials

Please include in a 1-page proposal (as a Word document or PDF file) the following information:

  • Name of proposer(s) who will serve as the meeting organizer(s)
  • Proposed location (city and venue)
  • Proposed structure of the meeting (content, length, and organization)
  • Proposed participants (e.g., keynote speaker, workshop presenter)
  • Estimated costs (NASPR will provide $1,000 to help support the meeting; any excess expenses would need to be covered by the local host, e.g., though registration fees)
