51st International Annual Meeting, Update on March 20, 2020

Dear SPR Members, Conference Registrants, and Presenters,

The Society of Psychotherapy Research, like all other individuals and organizations, is experiencing uncertainty and difficulties, given the COVID-19 pandemic. We want to keep you up to date on our annual conference developments that are important and will help you with planning.

As of now, we are still planning on having the conference. Of course, the conference will only take place if it is safe to gather together. Please note the following:

1. Should the conference be cancelled or you have registered and cannot attend, registration fees will be refunded.
2. Given the uncertainty, do not make flight reservations until closer to the conference.
3. SPR is making plans for continuing operations should the conference be cancelled. Awards will be given, as usual, but ceremonies and presidential address will be postponed.
4. Decisions about the conference will be made in the next 2 to 3 weeks.

Best wishes in this trying time,
Bruce Wampold President

51st International Annual Meeting Update

With almost 500 individual submissions for panels, brief paper sessions, structured discussions and posters, six semi-plenaries, a plenary session focused on the conference theme, Personaizing Psychotherapy to its Participants and Moments and Bruce Wampold's presidential address, we are planning for an excellent meeting! The local hosts are excited to welcome everyone to the University of Massachusetts Amherst and are planning many memorable social events.  Find out more about the venue and activities surrounding the scientific program here
