We look forward to welcoming you to Toronto for the International Society for Psychotherapy Research’s 48th Annual Conference. The conference will be held at the University of Toronto’s Victoria College. This is the site of one of Toronto’s oldest Universities – a lovely campus consisting of a mix of modern and old Victorian buildings around a verdant and shady quadrangle.

On behalf of the program committee, I would like to express our appreciation to all of you who submitted papers, posters, discussions and panels for the international SPR conference to be held in Toronto, June 21-24, 2017. We were impressed by your responsiveness to our call & believe that we will be able to design a program that reflects the intellectual richness of our organization. We received more than 600 proposals and over 1200 people have submitted proposals.

Psychotherapy Research: Some recent milestones

The development of the journal is going very well. The submission of new manuscripts is continuously increasing and, in November, we had already reached an all-time high of 223 new submissions in one calendar year. In comparison, there were 95 submissions in 2002, 134 in 2005, in 2008 when we moved from five to six issues a year we had 161 and in 2015 we had 218 submissions.
