SPR Student Services

SPR has several services for students and early career scholars:

Students can apply for travel grants to present at international meetings and the regional chapter meetings. The application procedure and the amount of the grant varies per chapter. Please check your chapter websites and chapter group areas on this website (once you are logged in) for more information. The forums inside the group areas may also provide more useful information regarding student travel grants.

SPR Student Services organizes the monthly webinars. There are two series:

Distinguished Researcher’s Webinars

These webinars are presented by well-known researchers within the field of psychotherapy, and are aimed at student and early career scholars. This is a wonderful opportunity to interact with famous researchers! These webinars last 1.5 hours and are free for both members and non-members alike.

Dissertation Dissemination Webinars

These webinars provide doctoral students with the opportunity to present their dissertation research to a large group of people. The webinar lasts 1 hour. In addition to presenting their research, students can choose to have a senior researcher provide commentary on their presentation. The webinar is recorded and freely available on Vimeo afterwards, so students potentially have a worldwide audience. These recordings can also be used to add something extra to job interviews, or be shared on personal websites.
